yOUTH MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM

Practical and functional support for children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges.

Our youth mental health support sessions are run by experienced mental health occupational therapists and a provisional psychologist. We provide support in a relaxed friendly indoor and/or outdoor environment, which may include:

  • Evidence based assessment to identify individual strengths and specific areas of need, and to develop an individual recovery plan.

  • Practical and enjoyable ways to manage mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, behaviours of addiction and school refusal, using evidence-based practice.

  • Stress management and development of coping strategies.

  • Development of age appropriate self-management and living skills.

  • Strategies for navigating our social world.

Struggling to get to school?

Is it effecting your education, ability to socialise and engage in all the things you like to do?

We find the term school refusal a negative one, and understand there can be many reasons why students find it hard to walk out the door in the morning to attend school. Our experienced mental health clinicians are here to support a way forward that works for you.
